JUNE 2005 :

International : The IPv6 Forum has launched "IPSec" and "Mobile IP (MIP)" for Phase II of the "IPv6 Ready" Logo Program. IPSec and Mobile IP are key differentiating features of IPv6. Phase II Ready Logo program converged test specification designed to generate a higher level of confidence among users that IPv6 is not only operational but ready for deployment in production networks.
Phase I of the program was a basic self-test to ensure minimum qualification, consisting of 107 test items. Phase II is roughly three times more extensive, consisting of close to 400 test scripts.

International : Apart from the TPM (Trusted Platform Module) components support, and from the security technology integrated to the material and used for example by Dell, HP and IBM, the ultimate IPv6 support is one of the main modifications brought by the last (stable) 2.6.12 version of the Linux kernel.

Australia : In the wake of US military plans to IPv6-enable its network by 2008, Australia's defence force has disclosed its own plans for a target date of 2013.

World : on April 1st 2005, the "IPv6 Ready Logo Program" attributed the 5 first "IPv6 Ready" logos (phase 2) to the five implementations which were the first to pass the whole serie of conformance and interoperability tests.
Th companies which received this "IPv6 Ready' logo were Japanese (4 products) and American (1 product).
We remind you that the Point6 IPv6 tests platform has been opened since March 31st to any industrial willing to get this label for its products.

World : IETF published the RFC 4038 describing the programming rules to take into account IPv6 in applications. Please note that these rules are appliable using IPv4 too, allowing to setup compatible codes as soon as now with the two versions of the protocol.
